let's go back,
back in time,
backto the times when boys and girls had cooties,
when our hands had blisters or calluses from the monkey bars,
when we heard, "do you want me to kiss it to make it feel better?"
and a kiss actually worked.

Let's go back to going up, up, and away on the swings,
and, down we go on the mini roller coasters called slides.
back to when we'd get bug bites all over,
back to the times when the warm sun beat down on us,
and the cool breeze cooled our faces,
back to the times we talked about pointless things,
instead of gossiped,
back to the times playing 4 square, states and kickball.

Let's go back,

back in time, to when we were children,
on the playground,
at recess.
